Alto Industrial Packaging are a New Zealand plastics manufacturer with branches across both the South and North Islands. Their LAY-LITE culvert pipe and flume range has an excellent reputation for forestry, farming, roading and reticulation projects.

Alto use a combination of manufacturing waste and recycled post-consumer plastic to manufacture LAY-LITE. Technical Manager, Mike Hansen says "Our culvert and flume range is made from 100% recycled HDPE, so it’s a really positive environmental story.”

The LAY-LITE range is available in diameters of 400mm and 600mm and from 1 meter to 6.6 meter lengths, with a corrugated bore to assist water flow. “The simple bayonet interlocking fittings make it ideal for culvert installations in remote and difficult to access areas” says Mike.

LAY-LITE culvert pipes and flumes are made at Alto’s facility in Hamilton, where they have around 200 employees. The range is light weight, fast and easy to install, needing no heavy machinery for handling.

“It’s made from 100% recycled HDPE and has been designed to resist New Zealand weather conditions. Our 400mm culvert also has Transit NZ F/2 approval when installed correctly” says Account Manager, Paul Bonham.
